About

The Nottinghamshire Harpist is a traditional harpist based in the East Midlands of England. She is an experienced, professional musician and her harp music has been a part of many special occasions.

The Nottinghamshire Harpist was born into a musical family, and has played many instruments over the years. She has had a lifelong fascination with the harp, though she came to playing the instrument relatively late. After teaching herself for a short while, she studied with traditional harpist Jean Hudson. She is now an experienced professional harpist with a large client base. She is in demand for weddings and other special occasions and has played at events throughout the United Kingdom.

Although rooted in the traditional music of Britain and Ireland, The Nottinghamshire Harpist loves experimenting with other genres including blues, rock and even metal. She also has a large repertoire of classical and pop music which is very popular with clients choosing wedding music.

The Nottinghamshire Harpist was brilliant on our wedding day. A number of guests commented on how beautiful the harp sounded in our reception room. She knows a vast number of songs and asked if we had any special requests prior to the wedding. I would highly recommend her!

Unfortunately I didn't hear much of The Nottinghamshire Harpist's performance as I was having photos taken, but she was extremely professional and her performance was very fitting with the venue and the event. It was a pleasure to have her there and many people commented on how well the music complimented the wedding. I'm sorry not to be able to give you more detailed feedback! Many thanks again for getting in touch with The Nottinghamshire Harpist for us, and for your efficient service.
